Live poker

So yesterday afternoon, I went to casino Niagara, in Niagara Falls Ontario, to play the No-limit 1-2 game with a $100 max buy-in. I got there around 2PM and for 5 hours, nothing really happens and I had $130 still with my original buy-in. The table was very passive and there was 2 huge donk at the table.

So during the evening, with my $130 stack, Im UTG+1 and I look at the K of clubs and I squeeze another picture card but dont want to look which one it is and I just limp since I'm in early position. 6 others players limp, and the flop come JT9 with 2 spades. So I'm like "Oh please god show me the Q as my other face card. SO I squeeeeze it as slow as possible and BINGO, I got the nut str8. Both blind check and I bet $10 in a $16-18 pot, I get 3 callers and I'm out of position. The turn is the lovely 5 of diamonds and I bet $30. 1 player fold and the second minraise to $60 and the 3rd guy minreraise. I'm so excited and since I dont have much less, I shove ALLIN.

The next guy shove his remaining stack also and the 3rd and final player in the hand think for a long time and says to the whole table he has 2 pair and he is pretty sure he needs to hit his 4 outer. So he calls anyway: I have KQJT9 for the nuts, next one is drawing dead with Q8 for a lower str8 and the last donkey show T5 on the JT95 board..... and he fucking hit his 4 outer on the RIVER faaaaaakkkk. I was so angry, I couldn't stay at the table anymore. I only lost 1 buy-in but that last fucking hand would have gave me a $400 stack and the night was very young at that time and I know I could've made a lot more money.

Anyway I came back home and won 5 buy-in online in 2 hours so I guess I'm not tilted anymore

Back online

I've been playing live poker for the past 3 months and I was too lazy to give updates to this blog but I learned that some people was reading this so hopefully I will write more often.

I'm back at playing online on NoiQ poker. I tried to play at other site, full tilt, pokerroom and stars but still nothing beats NoiQ. I like Stars a lot but I will keep playing on NoiQ for the weekly bonus I get each friday in my account. And the cashout always takes less then 24 hours with them, for bank transfer and sometimes it takes less than an hour for moneybookers.

I'm also working on a website for extra income, be sure to check it out and please give me some feedback. I only started the site 3 days ago so its still pretty empty. My goal is not only to offer bonus/rakeback deals but I have many ideas I want to put on the site that people want to keep coming back at my site. pokerbonusraces

Last few days, I have played long sessions and played many hands. My biggest day was last saturday were I played more than 10K hands! Thats crazy. I've also had very huge swings. I'm at nl100 for 4-5 days now but I cant win with consistancy. I mean I crush the limit, its a joke, but variance is what it is and at the moment I'm pretty unlucky. At least I dont lose and can continue at nl100 and eventually I'll be able to have a constant winrate.

Just today, in my first 2 sessions, usually I play little less than 2 hours sessions, I lost $400. In my last session though, I played like 1K hands and won $750 at nl100 and nl200. Its pretty much like that since I moved up in limit. Yesterday I lost $550. The day before I lost $300 for the entire day and went to bed early. I couldn't sleep so I opened up my laptop and played some nl200 and won $800 pretty quickly.

Since I played many hands at ssnl, I'm curently 14th in the second part of the rake race on NoiQ poker. First 20 players who accumulate the most FPP, are garanteed 1K in bonus money.

There is one hand at the end of my session that I played pretty badly and would like to share.

I dont have the HH because I played that hand on another computer but thats the NoiQ HH witout the stack size though. Well we were both full stack at $100. IAINTGAY made a raise in position and I called with suited connectors no gap in the blinds. I flopped the nut str8 and my mistake was to just bet a small amount to try to represent a weak hand. He raised my bet on the flop and I just called and on turn I check-raise him the minimum which usually represent a lot of strength.

Anyway in this hand the best was to either get it all-in on the flop or the turn. He made a huge mistake by calling the turn and obvsiouly he got lucky but the point is next time I need to be sure that his stack is commited by the turn.

Thats pretty much it for now and I will be playing more online poker for the rest of the month.

Last night, I've slept for more than 12 hours straight! so havent played much poker. I moved up to nl100 and I played 2K hands for little over 100$ profit. The game is still really good at this level. And up to nl400, my opponents should not give me much headaches.

Yesterday I told myself to cut on coffee and liquor drinks because I believe I can be in a better shape and more focus to concentrate on the game. Today is a good start, I only drank water and juice..lol. A 5-10 minutes walk outside between poker session, is also a good food for the body and the brain. It's so easy to become lazy and stay lazy as a poker player because all you have to do is sit and play a game. The players who have the most success, obviously are in great shape.

I played some online poker today. As usual I play on Noiq poker, still at nl50. Here is my stats for the entire day:

profit: 7.87$ ..lol
hands: 4220
FPP: 6382.5

I started my day with a 1 and half hour session where I lost 2 buy-ins. I won it back plus more during the afternoon and I managed to break-even to end the day. I have to expect a lot of swings since I play many tables. I usually start my session by opening 16 tables.

I felt very good today, and that is an important factor to have success in this game; the mental part. Its almost everything in poker. I was really not disciplined before and usually played under bad condition. I often played while:

1- I was tired
2- I was drinking alcohol
3- I was angry
4- I was losing and played bad and loose to recover my losses (I need to accept the fact that I may play good cards and not win with them)

It's important to play better after losing money rather than bad.

I went broke quickly and hopefully I'll will not play under these conditions again.

I feel very confident about my game so if I can catch a break here and there, and keep being disciplined, nothing can stop me.

Presentation

I'm a 26 year old guy, who lives in Montreal and play poker for a living, mostly internet poker. I have no education and dont want to make 12$/hour for the rest of my life, so I decided to become a poker pro. I've always been a gambler since my teenage years so when the poker boom happened in 2003, I started watching it on TV and from that point, I basically concentrate on just that form of gambling. I started playing pro in early 2006 with no much great success since then.

In late 2005, I deposit 50$ on everest poker and began playing No-Limit holdem since it was the big thing and after, I played limit holdem to chase deposit bonus from site to site. In early february 2007, I've switch back to No-limit. I made and lost lot of money during this year. During the summer I had a 5 digit bankroll but I managed to lose it all.

So right now, i'm a nl5o player and I only play on Noiq poker. My nickname is "IPUSHUFOLD". I've been playing on that site for more than 6 months now specially for there 600$ bonus . Also Noiq is on the iPoker network which is easily in the top5 for the biggest online poker network, so whenever I decide to play, there is always players to play against. If you want a good bonus with them, they offer 100% up to 600$ for the first time you deposit. Enter the bonus code "FREEMONEYNOIQ" when you decide to create an account. Add me on messenger and ill answer any question you might have: je.je.je88@hotmail.com

I hope to update this blog 2-3 times a week to tell you what is my progression in my poker career, how much I've won or lost during a certain period of time, what did I learn new about the game, my concern, my brags and beats and other stuff. Hopefully at least 1 person can find something interesting or learn a thing or 2 as they are experiencing the same thing as me.
